The Ligntning III is a tribute to the Sundowners Squadron stationed aboard SDF-018. This is the CAG bird so it’s been kept fairly clean. The asymetrical loadout was inspired by a shot from the VF-4 MasterFile Book.

Somewhere in the process of repainting the ‘Rising Sun’ motif and flipped the vertical stabilizers around and now they are canted outward instead of inward. Shhh..only you and I know.
